Security by Design
We encrypt all proxy connections and protect against DNS leaks, IP leaks, and traffic fingerprinting. All software components are EV code-signed.
Full Transparency
We openly share how our technology works and how data flows through the client. No hidden processes, no background data collection.
Privacy First
We never log, inspect, or store the contents of traffic routed through ProxyTool. Your data stays your data.
Responsible Use Policy
Our acceptable use policy prohibits illegal activity, harassment, fraud, and any abuse of proxy infrastructure.
Data Privacy & Zero-Logging
ProxyTool operates under a strict no-logging policy. The client never inspects or stores your traffic:
- We do not inspect, log, or store the content of your traffic
- Connection metadata is used only for routing and displayed locally in the traffic monitor
- We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data
- DNS requests are resolved securely with full leak protection
- All traffic processing happens locally on your device — nothing is sent to our servers
ProxyTool is designed with privacy by default. Encryption is applied at every layer, and the client runs entirely on your device.
Acceptable Use Policy
ProxyTool is built for legitimate use cases — web scraping, market research, security testing, ad verification, geo-testing, and privacy protection. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Any illegal activity under applicable law
- Unauthorized access to systems or networks
- Distribution of malware, spam, or phishing content
- Harassment, stalking, or threatening behavior
- Fraudulent transactions or identity theft
- Circumventing security measures for malicious purposes
Accounts found violating these policies will be suspended immediately. Repeated violations result in permanent bans.
Ethical Proxy Providers
We only work with proxy providers we have evaluated and classified as ethically responsible. Before a provider is listed in our marketplace, we review their business practices, data handling, and compliance standards.
- Providers must demonstrate transparent data policies and lawful sourcing of IP infrastructure
- We do not partner with providers involved in botnet proxies, stolen credentials, or deceptive practices
- Our marketplace is curated — not every proxy service qualifies for inclusion
- We regularly re-evaluate partners and remove providers that no longer meet our standards
Choosing the right proxy infrastructure matters. We take that responsibility seriously so you can trust the providers available through ProxyTool.
Have a concern? If you believe ProxyTool is being used in violation of these standards, or have questions about our software, please reach out to ethics@proxytool.app. We take every report seriously.
Our Ongoing Commitment
Ethics isn't a one-time statement — it's an ongoing practice. We commit to:
- Regular reviews and updates of our ethical guidelines
- Transparent communication about security patches and software updates
- Open dialogue with the community on privacy and security best practices
- Ongoing vetting of proxy providers in our marketplace
We're building ProxyTool not just as a product, but as a standard for how proxy technology should be developed and used responsibly. For technical details, our client uses a Windows kernel driver for traffic routing — limited to traffic you explicitly configure.
