This covers the ProxyTool applications for iOS, macOS, Windows and Android, the web dashboard, the backend services, the documentation, and the text, images and design of this website. Except where a third-party licence below says otherwise, all of it is protected by German and international copyright law.
Trade Marks
"ProxyTool", the ProxyTool logo and the ProxyTool word mark identify our products. You may use the name to refer to ProxyTool — in a review, a comparison, a tutorial or a bug report — without asking us. You may not use the name or logo as part of your own product name, company name, domain or app icon, or in any way that suggests we endorse or supply what you are offering.
Other names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify those products.
What You May Do With the Apps
While your subscription is active, you may install and use the ProxyTool applications on the number of devices your plan covers, for your own purposes or those of your organisation. That permission is personal to you, it is not transferable, and it ends when the subscription ends.
You may take screenshots, write about ProxyTool, and share your own configuration files freely.
What You May Not Do
Without our written permission, you may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the applications or any part of them; remove or alter copyright or licence notices; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it and only after asking us first; circumvent the licence check or the device limit; or offer ProxyTool to third parties as a service of your own.
Copies of this website are permitted for private, non-commercial use. Republishing our text, images or design elsewhere requires our consent.
Third-Party Software
ProxyTool is built partly on open-source software. The notices below are reproduced because their licences require it, and they apply only to those components — not to ProxyTool as a whole.
lwIP
The ProxyTool app for iOS and iPadOS contains lwIP, a lightweight TCP/IP stack, in its network extension. lwIP is used unmodified at release tag STABLE-2_2_1_RELEASE; our own adaptations live in separate files and are not part of lwIP. lwIP is licensed under the three-clause BSD licence:

CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING
IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY
OF SUCH DAMAGE.
Other components
The web dashboard and backend use open-source packages from the Node.js ecosystem, each under its own permissive licence (predominantly MIT, ISC and Apache 2.0). A current list, with versions and licence texts, is available on request from hi@proxytool.app.
Reporting an Infringement
If you believe something on this site or in our apps infringes your copyright, write to hi@proxytool.app. Please identify the work concerned, tell us where to find the material, and include a way to reach you. We will look into it and remove anything infringing as soon as we are aware of it.
The same address is the right one if you find that we have failed to credit an open-source component correctly. We would rather hear it from you than not at all.
Permission requests: for anything not covered above — press use of the logo, redistribution, an integration — write to hi@proxytool.app.
